Mount Hope has always had a heart for God's mission in the world.
We seek to give God the glory (i.e., worship, credit, reputation, and fame) He deserves through our direct ministry (e.g., through cross-cultural or compassion teams) and the work of our global partners. We focus on bringing hope to people groups among whom most have not heard about the good news embodied in Jesus. We want to partner with God to draw people from every ethnic group and language to worship God in distinctive yet united ways. |

Our Guiding Principles:
These eight values are the backbone and driving force behind our global outreach program.
More info
- We have a priority on supporting partners working among unreached people groups (distinct ethno-linguistic groups that have virtually no reproducing church within their group), also known as "World A" (unevangelized, neglected or unengaged) peoples. (Romans 10.12-15, 15.20)
- We are committed to supporting "homegrown" partners who have been nurtured in our community and demonstrated their gifts, skills, and heart for serving others.
- We are committed to supporting compassion ministries that bring Jesus' healing touch to a broken world, in ways that avoid crippling dependency. (Luke 4.17-21, 7.21-22, 12.32-34; 2 Thessalonians 3.6-10)
- We value and seek to nurture diaspora networks as a key way of reaching the world, and support efforts by people in our community who want to serve their countries of origin or fellow immigrants here in our neighborhoods. (Acts 2.5-11, 8.1, 8.4, 10.1)
- We have a priority on supporting partners who have a strong demonstratable commitment to raising indigenous followers of Jesus who remain connected with people of their own distinct culture. (Acts 10-15, Galatians 2.7)
- We value having a strong interdependent relationship with our partners. This is expressed through having fewer partners that we support at a higher level, thereby allowing us to develop stronger relationships with our partners and their work and our partners to use their experience to equip us for local ministry.
- We value having a Kingdom perspective in all that we do. This perspective is expressed in many ways including our willingness to support and work alongside partners who are not affiliated with our own movement.
- We are committed to pray, welcome, give and go until God is worshiped in every people group. We long to see the day when God's fame and glory are recognized within all peoples, and all peoples find their deepest joy and gladness in following Jesus and obeying His commands. (Matthew 28.18-20; Matthew 24.14; Psalms 67; Revelation 7.9)
