Strong community is valued at Mount Hope. Community Groups play a key role in helping us reach our full potential as a body of believers. These groups of 10-12 adults meet every other week in a home to laugh, learn, and live life together. For more on why we place a strong priority on Community Groups and how you can join a group, please see the information below.
If you have questions regarding Community Groups, please email Pastor Brian at bkrogh@mounthope.org
The faith is not meant to be lived in isolation. In order to live the Christian life well we need each other for support, accountability, and strength.
Because Jesus Valued Community
In his final time of prayer before his arrest, Jesus prayed for community.
"I pray also for those who will believe in me through their mesage, that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you." John. 17.20-21.
Because We Are on a Journey
Becoming a mature disciple of Jesus Christ is a never-ending process. None of us are where we should be or want to be. Community groups are a place to grow, to ask difficult questions, to pray and be prayed for, so that you might continue to become the man or woman God created you to be.
Community Groups are formed at an event called, "The Table."
"The Table" is an event that takes place twice a year. It is intentionally designed to bring people together to form community groups that will last for about one year. There are three parts to "The Table."
The Appetizer
A time to mingle with community group leaders as well as see what groups are being offered in the coming months.
The Main Course
Each Community Group will have a table in the sanctuary. Take a seat at the table of the group you would like to be a part of and enjoy getting to know one another.
The Dessert
A chance to get to know the people in your new community group over dessert and coffee.
