Spent some time pulling weeds up in the yard today. I didn't really pay much attention to my yard last year and now I have grass growing where it is not supposed to be growing and weeds that have taken root and are putting up a fight. I cut them down with the lawn mower last year, but that only made them more palatable to look at, beneath the surface they were taking root in my yard so that this year they are much harder to remove. If only I had taken care of them when they first apeared it would have made things much easier. I could blame it on the weeds, but the truth is they are just weeds being weeds. It is my responsibility as the gardner to take care of my own yard. Hmmm...sounds a lot like life.
