As children, it's easy to name what we hope for at Christmas time. Young ones usually have a list that they are hoping to see under the tree on the morning or Christmas. However, as adults, it can be tougher to truly know what we are hoping for. When we get older, we observe more of what is going on in the world and it feels like there really isn't any hope. Or maybe we go through a time of loss or difficulties and hope is harder to see. So how do we even begin to have hope then? And what does it matter if we have hope or not?

But as believers, isn't Christmas supposed to be more than just about the feelings? And shouldn't the reason for the season affect those around us because of the mere fact that we arebelievers?
